HAL Four Grotesk is an elegant yet reliable addition to the vast, undying sans-serif genre. Inspired by Empire Gothic, originally published in 1912 by Keystone Type Foundry (also cast by Miller & Richard as Grotesque No. 4 Italic and American Type Founders as Times Gothic Italic), these boldly authentic, italicised styles from a century ago laid the foundation for further developing HAL Four into a versatile, all-purpose neo-grotesque.
